FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
One of my goals as a graphic designer/ marketing consultant is to create a transparent process where my clients stay informed throughout the design process, thus ensuring the client gets the highest quality solution and service appropriate to their business, marketing or communication needs. Often times I am hired by people who have never worked with a designer, and find themselves with a list of questions that they want answered before moving forward with their project.
I have created this page as a space where I can address the most frequently asked questions that my clients have had over the past 20 years. My hope is that I provide you with a solid foundation of answers that will help to make your design process easier. If you have any additional questions that i have not addressed within this page, I encourage you to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org .
QUESTION & ANSWERS
What types of design services do you provide?
The services I offer are varied and comprehensive. I provide logo design, brochure design, illustrations, website design, direct mail design, marketing, stationery – including business card, letterhead, envelope, mailing label, and presentation folder design, and any other designs your business may require. I have also partnered with VIRRRAL.com, to provide my clients with the best Search Engine Optimization available on the market today. For a more comprehensive understanding of what VIRRRAL can do for your company, please visit their website at VIRRRAL.com.
What do you charge for your services?
I generally never charge an hourly rate for any design project, no matter how big or small. By providing clients with a bid that covers the total price of the project, my clients know, from the moment that the contract is signed, exactly what the project is going to cost, and not a penny more. Transparency in all aspects of a design project helps to build long-lasting designer/client relationships.
As a client, how much would I be involved in the design process?
I find that the more the client is involved in the design process, the easier it is for me to deliver their desired outcome. I thoroughly discuss the project at hand with my clients from the beginning. I encourage the client to provide me with any samples, color combinations/swatches, and ideas they may have. During the design process, the client is asked to approve certain milestones before work continues. If I am hired to design a website for the client, I provide a link to the site that the client can track the progress of the site design on a daily basis.
How will I receive my design project once it is finished?
A finished project is yours upon receipt of final payment. At your request, I will supply the electronic files to you on CD, or through an e-mail download link. I also keep a copy of your project on file for later updates or should you lose your copy. If I am designing you a website, I will migrate the finished website design to your server once final payment is received.
Who owns the copyright for the work I have hired you to do?
Copyright is yours upon receipt of final payment. I do, however, reserve the right to use any work for promotional purposes.
How does your logo design process work?
We will first discuss your needs, target market, and uses for this logo. I will then ask for samples of existing logos that the client likes or dislikes to get an idea of their taste. Sometimes the client already has a design concept in mind. Other times, they have no idea what they want. Either way, I make sure I’ve collected enough information before I begin the design process. My logo design service is very flexible. If you’d like to see only a few concepts or if you need many, my service can be priced according to your needs.
I have a job that I need right away. Can you help me?
I can usually accommodate your rush job depending on how full my design schedule is. There is an additional fee for rush jobs which is based on the size of the job.
I have a design job I need completed, but I’m not sure where to start. How can you help me?
Contact me directly. I’ll listen to your needs and tell you what your options are. A job may seem overwhelming until you have the right expert helping you out. I can put things in perspective and offer innovative solutions that you may not have even considered.
What is your payment process?
My payment process is quite simple; I receive 50% of the total project quote upon signing of contract, and the remaining 50% balance once the job is finished, before I deliver the finished files to you, or launch your website.
Do you work with any adult related companies?
My apologies, but I do not work with companies dealing in harmful, unlawful, adult, or questionable material.
